Smoked Garlic Olive Oil makes a big batch of flavor infused olive oil and use the smoked garlic cloves in recipes, garlic butter, or on bread

Ingredients
  

  • 40 cloves garlic (I bought the already peeled garlic cloves in a bag) peeled
  • 6 to 8 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 3 cups olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Put the garlic cloves and thyme sprigs in a dish safe for the smoker. Pour the olive oil over top.
  • Set the smoker or pellet grill between 200 to 225 degrees. Place the dish with the garlic oil on the grate for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Strain the garlic and thyme from the oil. Store the oil in a jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. Use the oil in recipes or as a bread dip.
    Note: Blend the smoked garlic cloves with butter, freeze to use in recipes, or serve with bread.
