Whole Smoked Garlic is cooked low and slow on the smoker or pellet grill and can be used in any recipe or as a topping for bread

Ingredients
  

  • 8 whole heads of garlic
  • olive oil, kosher salt, pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut the top off of each garlic head, exposing some of the garlic cloves. Drizzle some olive oil over each and season with kosher salt and pepper.
  • Set the smoker or pellet grill to 225 degrees. Place the garlic heads, cut side up, on the smoker grate for 2 hours.
  • Let them cool slightly and turn each upside down over a bowl and squeeze the garlic out, discard the peel.
  • Use the smoked garlic in any recipe or smash them in the bowl, add more olive oil kosher salt and pepper and serve with French or Italian bread.
    Note: The garlic can be placed in an ice cube tray to freeze and use individual portions in recipes that call for garlic.
