Smoked Green Beans are a simple side dish on the smoker or pellet grill, extra flavorful and perfect if already making dinner on the smoker

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound green beans fresh
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 6 Tbsps butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
  • kosher salt, pepper, seasoning blend of choice (cajun seasoning, Old Bay, BBQ seasoning, or seasoning blend of choice)

Instructions
 

  • Trim the ends off the green beans and cut in half or thirds. Put them in a cast iron skillet or foil pan.
  • Add the onion, butter, water, garlic, kosher salt, pepper, and seasoning blend of choice.
  • Set the smoker or pellet grill to 250 degrees. Put the pan of green beans on the grate for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring a few times throughout.
