Blackstone Griddle
Flat Top Grill/ Griddle
- cooking oil of choice
- 1 pound Italian sausage (I used Italian chicken sausage) remove casings if needed
- 1 French Baguette
- 1 1/2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
- kosher salt, pepper, Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat griddle to medium. Add a little cooking oil and the sausage. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, breaking it apart with spatulas and scoot to side of griddle.
Cut the baguette into fourths... first cut in half, then slice each half, lengthwise. Add more cooking oil to the griddle and place the 4 pieces of baguette, cut side down, on the griddle for about 1 to 2 minutes or until toasted how you prefer.
Flip them over and add marinara, kosher salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, the sausage, cheese, then more kosher salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Cover with a melting dome or lid for a few minutes until cheese is melted. Serve as dinner or cut into smaller pieces for a game day snack or appetizer.
