1/3cupwhiskey (I used Kurvball BBQ Whiskey, link to purchase in post above)
1/2cupbrown sugar
BBQ seasoning blend of choice
Instructions
Separate the thick cut bacon and put in a large bowl. Add the whiskey, brown sugar, and BBQ seasoning blend. Use you hands to toss until bacon is evenly coated.
Set your smoker or Traeger pellet grill to 225 degrees. Place the bacon in a single layer on the grill grates and cook 1 hour, flip and cook another hour on the smoker or pellet grill.
Remove and lay flat (I used baking sheets) and let sit until hardened. Enjoy as is, on a burger, or in a Bloody Mary. Store leftovers in the fridge, covered, for up to 5 days.
