Blackstone Griddle
Flat Top Grill/ Griddle
- cooking oil of choice
- 1 onion diced
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 1 12 ounce ham steak diced
- 6 cups cooked and cooled Jasmine rice (day old rice works best)
- 6 eggs beaten in a bowl
- 3 to 4 tablespoons Bachan's Japanese Barbecue Sauce (not like regular BBQ sauce, trust me)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons butter
- kosher salt, pepper
- 1 bunch green onions sliced
- Optional: more Japanese barbecue sauce, sriracha, yum yum sauce
Prepare your ingredients, put them on a tray to easily carry out to the griddle. Preheat the griddle to medium heat for several minutes.
Add some cooking oil, the diced onion, pepper, and ham. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, flipping with hibachi spatulas a few times.
Add the rice. Mix together with the veggies and ham, cooking for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add a little more oil to an empty space on the griddle and slowly add the egg, using the hibachi spatulas to prevent it from spreading too much. Scramble the eggs for a minute then mix together with the rice.
Add the Japanese sauce, soy sauce, butter, kosher salt, and pepper. Mix together and cook for 6 to 7 minutes. Add the green onions and cook another minute.
Serve with more Japanese barbecue sauce, sriracha, and/or yum yum sauce if desired.
