Blackstone Griddle
Flat Top Grill/ Griddle
- cooking oil of choice
- 1 onion diced
- kosher salt, pepper, Italian seasoning (I used Blackstone Tuscan herb seasoning)
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 2 to 3 cups marinara sauce
- 8 slices frozen garlic toast thawed
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded or shaved parmesan cheese
- Optional: basil for garnish
Preheat griddle to medium heat. Add cooking oil, onions, kosher salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook 3 minutes, mixing a few times with spatulas.
Add ground chicken, garlic, more kosher salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, mixing and breaking apart chicken with spatulas.
Add marinara sauce (I started with 2 cups and added a little more until it was as saucy as I liked). Mix until combined and scoot chicken to side of griddle. Scrape center of griddle clean if needed.
Add garlic toast slices to Blackstone. Cook 1 to 2 minutes per side until toasted how you like.
Turn griddle off and place a slice of provolone on each garlic toast slice. Use spatulas to add chicken mixture over top. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and basil if using, remove from griddle, and serve right away.
