kosher salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder(I measured with my heart)
cooking oil of choice
6hot dogsdiced
8flour tortillas (mine were 6-inches)
yellow mustard
1(15-ounce) canSkyline chili (or chili of choice, store bought or homemade)
2cupsshredded mild cheddar cheese
Optional: oyster crackers, hot sauce, diced onions
Instructions
Season the ground beef with kosher salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, and garlic powder. Combine with your hands and roll into 8 balls.
Preheat your griddle to medium. Add cooking oil of choice and the diced hot dogs. Cook 5 minutes, mixing a few times and scoot to edge of griddle.
Add a little more cooking oil and the balls of seasoned ground beef, spaced apart several inches. Place a tortilla over each ball of ground beef and use a burger press to smash them, twisting helps smash them flatter.
Cook 4 minutes, flip, and cook 1 more minute. Remove and fill each with the hot dogs, yellow mustard, chili, and cheese. Add optional toppings such as oyster crackers, hot sauce, and/or diced onions.
