Blackstone Griddle
Flat Top Grill/ Griddle
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tablespoons miso paste (Asian section of grocery store)
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 5 to 6 cloves garlic finely minced
- 3/4 cup mayo
- 1 1/2 pounds steak of choice (strip steak, flat iron, or sirloin) cut into cubes
- cooking oil of choice
- 1 head bok choy chopped
- 1 to 2 carrots shredded
- 4 cups cooked Jasmine rice (I used the microwavable pouches)
- Optional toppings: cilantro, avocado, sriracha, sesame seeds
Put the soy sauce, miso paste, lime juice, honey, and garlic in a bowl and whisk until combined.
Put the steak in a gallon size plastic bag with about half of the miso mixture. Massage the bag and marinate in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. Mix the remaining miso mixture with the mayo and set aside for a sauce.
Preheat the griddle to medium heat for several minutes. Add some cooking oil and the steak bites. Cook the steak 3 to 4 minutes, flipping a few times with hibachi spatulas.
To an empty space on the griddle add more cooking oil, the chopped bok choy, carrots, and a small spoonful of the miso sauce. Cook the veggies 3 to 4 minutes, and also the steak separately, flipping both the veggies and steak a few times.
Serve the steak over the rice with the veggies and the remaining miso sauce. Add optional toppings such as cilantro, avocado, sriracha, and/or sesame seeds.
