Blackstone Miso Steak Bowls
I hope you’re not tired of complete dinner recipes for the griddle, because I’ve got another great one for ya… Blackstone Miso Steak Bowls!
And I don’t plan to stop dreaming up new griddle recipe creations anytime soon… so I guess ya’ll are stuck with me 🙂
This one is pretty healthy, has an Asian flavor profile, and is insanely delicious.
I served the steak and veggies over cooked Jasmine rice, but took some help from the microwavable pouches for convenience.
You can get creative with toppings of choice like cilantro, avocado, sriracha to bring the heat, and sesame seeds.
How to make Blackstone Miso Steak Bowls
First mix together some soy sauce, miso paste, lime juice, honey, and garlic.
Then cut 1 1/2 pounds of steak into cubes (I used flat iron steak) and place in a gallon size plastic bag along with half of the miso mixture.
Marinate the steak in the fridge for at least a few hours.
And combine the rest of the mixture with 3/4 cup mayo and set that aside for a sauce.
The miso and soy sauce have plenty of salt, so no need for additional seasonings.
For the veggies I am going with some bok choy and carrots.
Chop the bok choy and shred a carrot or two.
Then preheat the griddle or flat top grill to medium heat for a few minutes.
First add some cooking oil of choice and the marinated steak.
Cook the steak 3 to 4 minutes and then add the veggies (with a little more oil) to an empty side of the griddle.
Add just a spoonful of the sauce to the veggies.
Cook the veggies and steak for 3 to 4 more minutes.
Flipping both with hibachi spatulas a few times, but keeping them separate.
Assemble your Blackstone Miso Steak Bowls over rice with toppings of choice and the miso sauce 🙂
I set out avocado slices, sriracha, cilantro, and sesame seeds.
