Equipment

  • Blackstone Griddle
  • Flat Top Grill/ Griddle

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • kosher salt, pepper, burger or all-purpose seasoning blend (I used Blackstone Whiskey Burger seasoning)
  • cooking oil of choice
  • 8 soft taco size flour tortillas
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • Toppings: tartar sauce, shredded lettuce, pickles

Instructions

  • Put the ground beef in a bowl with salt, pepper, and burger seasoning. Mix with your hands and roll into 8 balls, place them on a tray.
  • Preheat Blackstone to medium. Add cooking oil and place balls of beef on the griddle, spaced apart. Cover each with a tortilla and use a burger press to smash them as flat as possible, twisting the press slightly.
  • Cook 4 minutes, flip, add a slice of cheese onto each burger, and cook 1 to 2 minutes. Remove once cheese is melted and add toppings like tartar sauce, shredded lettuce, and pickles.
