Equipment

  • Traeger/Pellet Grill
  • Smoker

Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce block cream cheese
  • apple pie spice blend
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip thawed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional for a sweeter dip)
  • 1 16 ounce container caramel dip (not caramel syrup)
  • Heath bar toffee crumbles
  • apple slices and pretzels for dipping

Instructions

  • Put the cream cheese in a dish or foil pan. Cut some diagonal lines about half inch deep (picture example in post above). Season with the apple pie spice.
  • Preheat the smoker or pellet grill to 180 degrees. Place the dish in the smoker for 2 hours. If your pellet grill has a super smoke setting turn that on.
  • Put the cream cheese, Cool Whip, and powdered sugar (if using) in a bowl. Use a hand mixer to blend for a minute. Put back in the dish that the cream cheese was in or another dish around 8x8 or 9x9 in size.
  • Pour the caramel dip over top (microwave for a minute to make it pourable if needed) and spread evenly. Sprinkle some Heath toffee chips over top, as much or little as you like.
  • Serve at room temperature with apple slices and pretzels for dipping.

Notes

Directions without a smoker: Put the cream cheese (at room temperature) in a bowl with some apple pie spice, Cool Whip, and powdered sugar if using in a bowl. Blend with a hand mixer for a minute. Put in an 8x8 or 9x9 dish. Add the caramel dip and toffee chips.
