Smoked Caramel Apple Dip
A fall dessert recipe on the smoker or Traeger pellet grill like this Smoked Caramel Apple Dip is perfect for a crisp, cool evening around the fire.
Or it’s a great dessert dish to bring to any holiday or gathering!
Serve with apple slices and pretzels for dipping and everyone will be feeling those fall vibes instantly 🙂
How to make Smoked Caramel Apple Dip
Just these few simple ingredients is all ya need!
First we will smoke the cream cheese.
Place it in a dish and cut a few diagonal lines about half inch deep to allow more smoky flavor.
Season with apple pie spice and place on the smoker or pellet grill at 180 degrees.
The cream cheese will smoke for about 2 hours.
Next combine the smoked cream cheese and 8 ounces of thawed Cool Whip in a bowl.
You could add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar for a sweeter dip.
I did not add it because I’m not a fan of super sweet desserts.
Blend with a hand mixer for about a minute.
I added the mixture right back into the same dish that I used for the smoked cream cheese.
Then microwave 16 ounces of caramel dip for about a minute to make it pourable.
Make sure you get the caramel dip and not straight caramel syrup.
Finally spread the caramel dip over top and add some Heath toffee pieces.
I did not include an amount for these in the recipe, just add as much or as little as you prefer.
Serve Smoked Caramel Apple Dip with sliced apples and pretzels for dipping!
This is great served at room temperature, making it a great dish to make ahead or bring to a party or celebration.
