1(15-ounce) canCincinnati style chili like Skyline (or 2 cups homemade chili)
1 1/2cupsshredded cheddar cheese
Optional: hot sauce, Fritos Scoops and/or tortilla chips
Instructions
Put the block of cream cheese in the center an 8x8 or 9x9 dish or foil pan. Use a knife to cut a few diagonal lines about half inch deep (picture example above). Sprinkle with kosher salt, pepper, chili powder, and cumin.
Preheat your smoker or Traeger pellet grill to 225 to 250 degrees. Place the pan with the seasoned cream cheese on the grill grate for 45 minutes to an hour.Note: If your pellet grill has a super smoke setting, turn it on.
Use the back of a spoon or spatula to evenly spread the cream cheese in the dish. Add the chili, spread evenly, and cook another 45 minutes to an hour. Add the cheese and keep on the smoker or pellet grill until it's melted.
Serve with hot sauce if desired, and Fritos Scoops or tortilla chips for dipping.
