Traeger/Pellet Grill
- 2 pounds thick cut bacon
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Separate the bacon strips and place them in a large bowl.
Add the maple syrup and brown sugar to the bowl and toss until evenly coated, I had the best luck using my hands.
Set the temp on your pellet grill or smoker to 225 degrees. Start placing the bacon right away, no need to let it preheat. I found it best to use my hands to place them on the grill grates.
Let the bacon cook for 50 minutes, flip them and cook an additional 50 to 70 minutes. This will largely depend on the bacon thickness and how you want them cooked.Note: Watch for hotter and cooler spots during the last half of cooking, some bacon may need to be moved or taken off early. Let the bacon cool before serving, it will harden as it cools.
