- 1 (12-count) package King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 6 eggs
- kosher salt, pepper, Blackstone Lumberjack breakfast seasoning (optional)
- nonstick cooking spray
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce
- 6 slices American cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Slice the King's Hawaiian rolls in half to separate tops and bottoms using a sharp bread knife. Put the sausage in the box that the rolls came in and form one large sausage patty the same size as the rolls.
Crack the eggs in a bowl with kosher salt, pepper, and the Lumberjack seasoning if using. Beat with a fork. Spray an 8x10 casserole dish or foil pan with nonstick spray and pour the eggs in. Note: If you have a 9x13 casserole dish that works too, just cut the cooked eggs to fit on the rolls when assembling the sliders. Set your smoker to 250 degrees and place the dish with the eggs and the large sausage patty on the grill grates (I turned the package with the sausage upside down on the grill grate and peeled away the package). Cook the eggs and sausage for 1 hour.Note: I used a rubber spatula to lift up the eggs a few times to prevent sticking during the last 15 minutes. Place the bottom slider rolls on a baking sheet. Use spatulas to transfer the cooked sausage and cooked eggs to place on the bottom bun. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup and a few dashes of hot sauce on the eggs. Place cheese slices, overlapping slightly, and add the top bun.
Add remaining maple syrup and a few more dashes of hot sauce to the melted butter and stir. Brush the hot maple butter over the top slider buns.
Place baking sheet with the slider on the smoker for another 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Slice and serve.
