Smoked Vodka Cranberry Cream Cheese is a great holiday party appetizer made on the smoker or Traeger pellet grill!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 (8-ounce) blocks cream cheese
  • 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • fresh thyme for garnish, crackers or pretzel crisps for serving

Instructions
 

  • Put the blocks of cream cheese on a plate. Cut diagonal lines about half inch deep (picture example in post above). Place the plate on a smoker or pellet grill set to 180 degrees for 2 hours.
  • Put the cranberries, water, vodka, sugar, and lime juice in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil over high heat, once boiling reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for 15 to 17 minutes stirring a few times. Let cool.
  • Serve the cranberry sauce over the smoked cream cheese either warm or at room temperature. Garnish with fresh thyme and with crackers or pretzel crisps.
