Smoked Vodka Cranberry Cream Cheese
Smoked Vodka Cranberry Cream Cheese is a fun holiday appetizer recipe that has the flavors of a very popular cocktail!
A vodka cranberry with lime and smoked cream cheese for the perfect dip combo.
It can be served warm or at room temperature.
And it feeds a decent size crowd 🙂
How to make Smoked Vodka Cranberry Cream Cheese
First we will smoke two blocks of cream cheese on your smoker or Traeger pellet grill.
You could put them both on the same plate, or two separate smaller plates.
I cut some diagonal lines in each cream cheese block, it allows more smoky flavor and makes for a nice presentation.
Just set your smoker or pellet grill to 180 degrees and smoke them for 2 hours.
While the cream cheese is smoking, let’s make the vodka cranberry sauce.
First add a 12 ounce bag of fresh cranberries to a saucepan.
Along with a half cup of vodka and half cup of water.
Then some lime juice and a cup of sugar.
Bring this mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium low.
Stir it a few times as it simmer for 15 to 17 minutes.
Then let it cool.
The vodka cranberry sauce alone could be an amazing holiday side dish!
But back to the cream cheese for this fun, smoky appetizer.
You can actually see the smoky flavor in the cream cheese 🙂
To serve, top the blocks of cream cheese with the vodka cranberry sauce.
I also like to garnish with fresh thyme to give even more festive, holiday vibes.
Serve Vodka Cranberry Cream Cheese with pretzel crisps or crackers for dipping 🙂
