Smoked BBQ Whiskey Candied Bacon

Smoked BBQ Whiskey Candied Bacon

I made some Smoked BBQ Whiskey Candied Bacon on my Traeger pellet grill with my new obsession… Kurvball Barbecue Whiskey!

YouTube video

So good just as a snack, on burgers, but hear me out… in a Bloody Mary made with the Kurvball Whiskey for a BBQ twist!

How to make Smoked BBQ Whiskey Candied Bacon

Start with 2 pounds of thick cut bacon.

Separate the bacon and put in a large bowl.

Add some of the BBQ whiskey, or really any whiskey works.

Next add brown sugar and your favorite BBQ seasoning blend.

Mix this until the bacon is evenly coated, I just went in with my hands to do this job.

And place the bacon in a single layer in your smoker or pellet grill set to 225 degrees.

Let the bacon hang out on the smoker or Traeger for an hour, flip, and let it do it’s thing for another hour.

Let Smoked BBQ Whiskey Candied Bacon cool before digging in 🙂

It will stay good, covered, in the fridge for a few days.
