Chili Cheese Dog Outdoor Pizza
This Chili Cheese Dog Outdoor Pizza is inspired by my favorite Skyline cheese coney and made in our Blackstone pizza oven.
We used pizza dough from Aldi and my homemade Cincinnati style chili.
How to make Chili Cheese Dog Outdoor Pizza
First stretch your dough to about 12 to 14 inches and place on a pizza peel with plenty of semolina flour to prevent sticking.
Then spread your chili on the dough.
Making the pizza fast and having your pizza oven preheated is the best way to keep it from sticking also.

We added mild cheddar cheese and some sliced hot dogs.
Which does seem a little crazy, but ya can’t have chili cheese dog pizza without the hot dogs.

Then into the preheated Blackstone outdoor pizza oven right around 450 degrees.

It only takes a few minutes for the crust to get nice and golden brown with bubbly, melty cheese.

Slicing and waiting for it to cool was the hardest part.

We added mustard to our Chili Cheese Dog Outdoor Pizza!
Chopped onions would be another good topping.
Also, we had to add our Skyline hot sauce and oyster crackers because that’s how we always have our cheese coney.

- Blackstone Outdoor Pizza Oven
Ingredients
- 1 portion pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- semolina flour or cornmeal (or a mix of both)
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups Cincinnati style chili (or chili of choice)
- 2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 4 hot dogs sliced

- Make your pizza quickly so the dough doesn't stick to the peel. Start with the chili, then cheese, and add hot dogs over top.
- Use the pizza peel to slide the pizza onto the pizza stone.Note: Pizza stone should be rotating as oven preheats, turn rotation off when placing pizza on stone, and start rotating again as pizza cooks.
- Cook pizza 2 to 3 minutes, depending on dough thickness and how you prefer the crust to be cooked.Remove pizza using pizza peel and transfer to a cutting board. Add toppings such as mustard, chopped onions, hot sauce, and/or oyster crackers.
