Traeger Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburgers

Traeger Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburgers

Burgers are typically such a simple recipe, but these Traeger stuffed bacon cheeseburgers really take burger night to a whole new level!

These have both bacon and cheese incorporated into the actual burger, and even topped with more cheese!

Possibilities for other ideas to stuff into burgers are endless, I was just trying to keep it simple this time.

And when cooked on the Traeger they give a slight hint of wood fired flavor.

How to make Traeger stuffed bacon cheeseburgers

Start with two pounds of ground beef in a bowl.

Then add some Worcestershire sauce, diced slices of cheddar or American cheese, and six slices of bacon that have been cooked and crumbled.

Mix this together and form into six burger patties.

You can form the patties with your hands or use a burger press.

Then sprinkle kosher salt and pepper on both sides of each burger patty.

Next stop is the Traeger pellet grill.

Set the grill to 300 degrees, and place the burgers right on the grill grate.

Burgers on the Traeger before cooking

The burgers will cook 9 to 11 minutes per side.

Cook time will depend on how thick your burgers are and how you like them cooked.

During the last few minutes add a slice of cheddar or American cheese over each burger.

Adding cheese to the traeger stuffed bacon cheeseburgers

We had our Traeger stuffed bacon cheeseburgers with a classic side of French fries!

You can add any toppings of choice to your burgers, I did mayonnaise, ketchup, and lettuce.

These were so full of flavor and it was awesome getting cheese and bacon in each and every bite.

They had just the right hint of smoky flavor thanks to the Traeger pellet grill!
