Smoked Ginger Wasabi Chicken Wings

Smoked Ginger Wasabi Chicken Wings

These smoked Ginger Wasabi chicken wings are perfect for a game day snack or appetizer recipe… or really for any day that ends in “Y” đŸ˜‰

The chicken wings themselves are just simply seasoned with salt and pepper, but are extra special when cooked on the smoker or pellet grill.

What really makes these wings sing is the super flavorful ginger wasabi glaze!

How to make smoked ginger wasabi chicken wings

I started with four pounds of jumbo split chicken wings.

First toss them with kosher salt, pepper, and olive oil… you could even use a seasoning blend of choice if you like.

Then set your smoker or pellet grill to 250 degrees and place the wings on the grill grate for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Oh and make sure you use tongs to flip them halfway through.

While the wings are on the smoker let’s make the Wasabi Ginger glaze!

It’s simply Wasabi sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic in a saucepan.

If you do not have Wasabi sauce, you can combine a small amount of Wasabi paste with some mayonnaise.

Once all the ingredients are in the saucepan, bring to a boil then reduce the heat to simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.

And make sure that you stir it a few times.

Then during the last 10 minutes on the smoker, glaze the wings on all sides with the Ginger Wasabi sauce.

Wing night just got a whole lot more exciting with smoked Ginger Wasabi chicken wings!

This was our Super Bowl snack, so you know they are extraordinary if I made them for the BIGGEST game of the year.

You can garnish with sesame seeds or chives if desired, but definitely make sure that you serve the extra Ginger Wasabi glaze on the side for dipping.
