Traeger Smoked Trout Dip
One of my all time favorite dip recipes is this Traeger Smoked Trout Dip!
The first step is making some Traeger Smoked Trout… which can also be used in Smoked Trout Eggs Benedict.
It’s very similar to smoked salmon… so flavorful!
How to make Smoked Trout Dip
Once you have already made the Traeger Smoked Trout, just gather the ingredients for the dip 🙂
It helps a lot when mixing this dip if the cream cheese is at room temperature.
I have also made this dip with the addition of feta cheese crumbles, and also with chopped capers.
Feel free to add either of those if you’d like 🙂
The lemon and fresh dill really make this dip extra special.
Giving it a bright and fresh flavor that most dips lack.
And the addition of the Old Bay seasoning pairs perfectly together with the trout.
Just flake the smoked trout into smaller pieces, or chop it up if you prefer smaller bits.
And then put everything together in a bowl.
Finally, just mix it all together with a spoon and VIOLA… you are ready to enjoy this fantastic dip!
It doesn’t get much easier than this, am I right?!
Garnish Traeger Smoked Trout Dip with more fresh dill!
And serve with pita chips or crackers of choice.
You can make this easy appetizer ahead of time and store in the fridge.
It will stay good in the fridge for a few days… if it lasts that long 😉

Traeger Smoked Trout Dip
Equipment
- Traeger/Pellet Grill
- Smoker
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped, fresh dill
- 3/4 to 1 pound smoked trout (store bought or link to recipe in post above) flaked into smaller pieces
- pita chips or crackers
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a large bowl and mix together with a spoon until evenly combined.
- Store in the fridge until ready to serve with pita chips for dipping.
