Smoked Cranberry Bacon Dip
Smoked Cranberry Bacon Dip is an amazing appetizer recipe with a sweet and savory vibe.
Smoked cream cheese is so flavorful and really makes this dip recipe extra special.
And really you can’t go wrong with anything that has bacon and cheese, am I right?!
You can make this on your smoker or Traeger pellet grill 🙂
How to make Smoked Cranberry Bacon Dip
All you need are these basic ingredients to get ya started.
First we will smoke the cream cheese.
Just put two blocks of cream cheese on some foil.
And use a knife to cut about half inch diagonal lines.
This will allow more smoked flavor to get in the cream cheese.
Place on your smoker or pellet grill for 2 hours at 180 degrees.
You can actually see the smoky flavor!
Then cut a pound of bacon into a skillet over medium heat with kitchen scissors.
And cook the bacon until done how you prefer.
Now we assemble the dip!
Put the cream cheese and bacon in a bowl.
And add 1 1/4 cups mayo, 2 cups of shredded cheese, dry ranch seasoning, garlic and onion powder, Old Bay seasoning, and a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce.
Oh, and 6 ounces of dried cranberries of course.
Mix it all together and voila… you have dip!
It comes together pretty easily if the cream cheese is still a little warm from the smoker.
Serve Smoked Cranberry Bacon Dip with crackers and enjoy!
I put mine in the fridge until I was ready to serve it.
It would be great at room temperature or cold.
