Blackstone Pork Fried Rice
Hibachi recipes are so fun to make on the griddle, and this Blackstone Pork Fried Rice was a huge hit with my family!
I made Smoked Char Siu Pork Tenderloin last week (SO good!).
And since pork tenderloins come two in a pack, it was a perfect opportunity to make this hibachi dinner.
How to Make Blackstone Pork Fried Rice
I cut the pork tenderloin into bite size pieces and marinated it overnight in soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
You could also use pork chops if you prefer.
Then, once I was ready to make the fried rice I put everything on a tray and headed to my outdoor cooking area.
I thawed the peas and carrots, but if they are still frozen, no worries.
For the rice, here is my best tip… cook Jasmine rice the day before and refrigerate overnight.
It gives a little texture that makes it feel just like at the hibachi restaurants.
Preheat the griddle to medium high for several minutes.
Add some oil, 6 cups of the cooked and cooled Jasmine rice, a diced onion, and three eggs.
Cook this for a few minutes, stirring and flipping with hibachi spatulas (which takes time to master, so give yourself some grace the first few times đŸ˜‰ ).
Add the peas and carrots and let that cook for about a minute, flipping and mixing.
Then add the soy sauce, butter, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, and a small amount of kosher salt and pepper.
Cook the rice for several minutes… you guessed it, flipping and mixing with your hibachi spatulas.
Move the rice to one side of the griddle and add the pork with a bit more oil.
Cook the pork for 2 minutes by itself and then mix it all together.
Let the rice do it’s thing for a few more minutes, spreading the rice and pressing down helps it to crisp.
When the rice is cooked how you prefer, remove it with the hibachi spatulas onto the same tray used to carry everything outside.
We loved our Blackstone Pork Fried Rice with yum yum sauce and sriracha đŸ™‚
I made my own yum yum sauce by combining mayo, ketchup, sugar, paprika, and garlic powder.
But they make lots of store bought ones too.
Can’t wait to come up with even more hibachi creations on my Blackstone!
