Smoked Garlic Cowboy Butter
The first step in making Smoked Garlic Cowboy Butter is to actually make the smoked garlic recipe.
Once you have some golden delicious, slightly sweet smoked garlic cloves in your life you will be one happy gal or guy!
Either follow the recipe for Whole Smoked Garlic or Smoked Garlic Infused Olive Oil and you can use the garlic in recipes, on bread, and in this cowboy butter đŸ™‚
How to make Smoked Garlic Cowboy Butter
In addition to the smoked garlic cloves, you’ll also need two sticks of butter at room temperature.
Also a lemon and either fresh thyme or chives.
Put the butter in a food processor.
It will help so much being at room temperature.
Then add in 8 to 16 cloves of the smoked garlic, depending on how much smoked garlic flavor you prefer.
Next in goes some lemon juice, lemon zest, fresh thyme or chives, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Just blend until smooth… that’s it!
Store Smoked Garlic Cowboy Butter in the fridge for a few days đŸ™‚
Make sure it’s in a covered container.
And serve over grilled steaks, on bread, or toss with pasta.
These are two New York strips that I seasoned with olive oil, kosher salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.
Preheat the grill to medium high and grill the steaks 3 to 5 minutes per side.
Cook time will depend on the thickness of the steaks and how you like them cooked.
And spoon some of this cowboy butter over the steaks to melt over top right before serving.
Now THIS is a steak dinner I was proud to serve đŸ™‚
The beautifully melted butter made for a great presentation AND an insanely juicy and flavor packed steak!
