Traeger Biscuits and Sausage Gravy
I think you’ll be surprised how simple this recipe is for Traeger Biscuits and Sausage Gravy.
Literally just FIVE ingredients (minus the freebie ingredients of kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes).
And using biscuits in a tube is a great home cook, timesaving move.
However, you can easily make your own homemade biscuits if you have a great recipe!
How to make Traeger Biscuits and Sausage Gravy
First put 2 tablespoons of melted butter and a diced onion in a cast iron skillet or casserole dish.
For easy cleanup you could even use one of those disposable foil pans.
Then add a pound of breakfast sausage that has been cut into fourths.
I am only cutting the sausage to increase the cooking time.
Let this cook on the Traeger pellet grill set to 225 degrees, and turn on “super smoke” mode if your model has it available.
Next break the sausage apart with a spatula or wooden spoon, this does take a minute or two.
And add a pint of heavy cream, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Crank the heat on the pellet grill to 350 degrees and this will start to bubble and thicken.
Make sure to stir the sausage gravy a few times.
Let the sausage bubble away and thicken for 30 to 45 minutes.
And during the last 12 to 15 minutes, add a baking sheet with the biscuits.
Ahhh, good old biscuits in a tube will never let ya down đŸ˜‰
Remove Traeger Biscuits and Sausage Gravy once the biscuits are cooked and gravy is thick and luscious đŸ™‚
I made this to pack for husband’s breakfast throughout the week.
But I couldn’t help but dig in for a sample right away and OH…MY WORD… heavenly, addicting deliciousness, my friends!
