Smoked Cranberry Honey Goat Cheese
Smoked Cranberry Honey Goat Cheese is an elegant appetizer recipe, perfect served warm with crackers or crostini.
You can create you own perfect bite by adding as much cranberries, honey, and pistachios as you like.
It’s a festive holiday dip thanks to the gorgeous red and green colors!
It can be made easily on any smoker or Traeger pellet grill 🙂
How to make Smoked Cranberry Honey Goat Cheese
You’ll need an 8 ounce log of goat cheese to start (I know a 4 ounce log is pictured, but I actually made two 4 ounce logs).
Plus some honey, dried cranberries, pistachios, and fresh thyme.
First put the 8 ounce goat cheese log on a plate (or two 4 ounce logs).
Or if goat cheese isn’t your thing, you can easily use an 8 ounce block of cream cheese instead (same smoking directions).
Then place on the smoker or pellet grill set to 180 degrees.
It will do it’s thing on the smoker for 1 1/2 hours.
As you can see it gets a slight golden brown color.
And a little melty.
Goat cheese doesn’t melt completely, but it’s enough to become warm and spreadable.
Drizzle some honey over top.
Then chop some pistachios and add those over top as well.
Finally add the dried cranberries, fresh thyme, kosher salt, and pepper.
I mean, that is one gorgeous appetizer!
You could serve just like this with crackers or crostini, or add it to a charcuterie board.
Smoked Cranberry Honey Goat Cheese is best served right away while it’s still warm 🙂
And it’s perfectly fine that some of the cranberries and pistachios fell on the plate.
Use a small serving knife to spread the goat cheese with toppings on the crackers or crostini.
