Traeger Buffalo Chicken Bacon Pizza
My son had the idea to make this Traeger Buffalo Chicken Bacon Pizza recipe all on his own!
We went to a specialty grocery store and they had homemade frozen balls of pizza dough.
And he just kinda went from there with topping ideas.
You could use any homemade pizza dough or use store bought like us.
Another option is to go your your favorite pizza place and buy their dough, we have done that plenty of times too!
How to make Traeger Buffalo Chicken Bacon Pizza
As you can see, he made this pizza from start to finish 🙂
First roll out a 16 ounce pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape.
We went with a thicker crust pizza in a rustic shape.
Sprinkle cornmeal on a baking sheet to prevent sticking and then place your dough over top.
Then spread a mixture of ranch and buffalo sauce followed by 2 cups of shredded cheese.
Next add some cooked chicken and lots of crumbled bacon.
He wanted to add some banana peppers and more buffalo sauce too!
A sprinkle of garlic powder and Italian seasoning go over top and then we are ready for the Traeger to work it’s magic 🙂
Set your Traeger or pellet grill to 375 degrees.
And place the baking sheet with the pizza on the grill grate for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cook time will depend on the thickness of the crust, so ours took the full 20 minutes.
Really just watch it closely and remove the pizza once the crust is cooked how you prefer.

Traeger Buffalo Chicken Bacon Pizza
Equipment
- Traeger/Pellet Grill
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 1 large 16 ounce pizza dough (homemade, store bought, or from your favorite pizza restaurant)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheese of choice (I used mozzarella and cheddar)
- 3/4 cup cooked, diced chicken
- 4 to 5 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
- garlic powder, Italian seasoning
- Optional: banana peppers, more buffalo sauce
Instructions
- Spread the cornmeal evenly on a baking sheet to prevent sticking. Roll the pizza crust to desired shape and thickness, place on the baking sheet.
- Spread the ranch and buffalo sauce evenly on the crust and top with the cheese, chicken, bacon, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, plus banana peppers and more buffalo sauce if desired.
- Set your Traeger pellet grill to 375 degrees. Place the baking sheet with the pizza on the grill grate for 15 to 20 minutes, remove once the crust is cooked how your prefer.
