Blackstone Italian Sub Quesadillas
Quesadillas on the griddle are so easy and always a hit at dinner, today I am sharing how I made these Blackstone Italian Sub Quesadillas.
These are the perfect simple weeknight meal, especially during this busy going back to school time.
I basically turned my favorite sandwich into golden brown quesadillas using pepperoni, ham, and salami… but you can use any deli meat that you prefer.

How to make Blackstone Italian Sub Quesadillas
First put all of your ingredients on a tray and head out to your Blackstone or flat top griddle.

Preheat your griddle to medium low, add some olive oil or cooking oil of choice along with 2 cups of diced deli meat.
I went with ham, salami, and pepperoni.
Cook this for about 2 minutes, mixing with spatulas.

Then add some Italian seasoning blend, I used my Blackstone Tuscan Herb blend.

Also, some minced garlic or garlic powder and some Italian dressing.

Cook this and mix together for just a few more minutes.

Scoot the meat to the side of the griddle and start building your quesadillas starting with two large burrito size tortillas.
And add mozzarella cheese to one side of each and some sliced banana peppers.

Add the deli meat and top with even more cheesy goodness.

Fold the empty side over the filled side using your spatula and cook for another few minutes until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Blackstone Italian Sub Quesadillas are soooooo good dipped in pizza sauce 🙂

Blackstone Italian Sub Quesadillas
Equipment
- Blackstone Griddle
- Flat Top Grill/ Griddle
Ingredients
- cooking oil of choice
- 2 cups diced deli meat of choice (I used salami, ham, and pepperoni)
- 4 cloves garlic (optional) minced
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- Italian seasoning blend
- 2 large burrito size flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers
- pizza sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your griddle to medium low. Add some cooking oil and the diced deli meat. Cook 2 minutes, mixing a few times with spatulas.
- Add garlic (if using), Italian dressing, and Italian seasoning. Cook 4 to 5 more minutes, mixing with spatulas. Scoot to the side of the griddle.
- Add more cooking oil and lay the tortillas flat. Sprinkle some cheese on one side of each tortilla, add the banana peppers, deli meat, and remaining cheese. Use your spatula to fold the empty side of the tortilla over the filled side.
- Cook 2 to 3 more minutes, flipping a few times until cheese is melted and tortilla is cooked how you prefer.
