Blackstone Hibachi Garlic Rice
Blackstone hibachi garlic rice is a simple side dish recipe for the griddle, or you could add a protein of choice for a complete meal!
I served this as a side dish with grilled Thai chicken skewers.
One of the ingredients that makes this rice extra special is the addition of Japanese mayonnaise.
How to make Blackstone Hibachi Garlic Rice
The first thing I do anytime cooking outside where my Blackstone Griddle lives is put all of my ingredients on a tray.
That way I carry everything out at once and carry the finished meal back inside on the same tray.
First preheat the griddle to medium high for several minutes.
Then add some cooking oil of choice along with 4 to 5 cups of rice, a diced onion, and 3 eggs.
My trick for fried rice is making Jasmine rice several hours before you need it and cooling it in the refrigerator.
To me the texture is better and the rice gets a little more crisp.
Cook the rice, onion, and eggs for a few minutes flipping and turning with hibachi spatulas.
Then add a few tablespoons of soy sauce, freshly minced garlic, and the Japanese mayonnaise.
Flip and turn the rice several times with hibachi spatulas for about 5 to 6 minutes.
If you like crispy rice, spread the rice on the griddle and press slightly with the spatulas.
During the last few minutes add freshly chopped green onions or cilantro along with kosher salt, pepper, and sesame seeds.
Taste for seasoning and add more soy sauce or Japanese mayonnaise if needed.
Blackstone hibachi garlic rice was quite the amazing side dish recipe!
You could serve some yum yum sauce or Sriracha to drizzle over top if desired.

- 1 onion diced
- 3 eggs
- 3 to 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons Japanese mayo (I used Kewpie)
- 6 to 7 cloves garlic minced
- 1 bunch green onions (or freshly chopped cilantro) sliced into 2 inch pieces
- kosher salt, pepper

- Optional: yum yum sauce, sriracha
Instructions
- Put all of the ingredients on a tray and head out to your Blackstone Griddle. Preheat the griddle to medium high for several minutes.

- Taste for seasoning and add more soy sauce and/or Japanese mayo if needed. Serve with yum yum sauce and/ or sriracha if desired.
