Japanese BBQ Grilled Chicken
Japanese BBQ Grilled Chicken is a fun and easy grilling recipe that really packs in the flavor with only a few ingredients.
Most of the flavor comes from this Bachan’s Japanese BBQ sauce!
It’s not like your typical BBQ sauce at all, you’ll just have to try it for yourself.
How to make Japanese BBQ Grilled Chicken
I have two pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thighs to start.
You can certainly use chicken breasts, but I much prefer the thighs.
Plus the Japanese BBQ sauce, or you could use hoisin sauce if you don’t have this sauce.
First put the chicken into a gallon size plastic bag and add 3 tablespoons of the Japanese BBQ sauce (or hoisin sauce).
Then add a tablespoon each of soy sauce and sriracha.
Plus some minced garlic, grated ginger, kosher salt, and pepper.
Massage the bag until the chicken is coated and marinate in the fridge for a few hours.
Next preheat your grill to medium heat for a few minutes.
And grill the chicken 10 to 12 minutes total, flipping a few times.
Just make sure the chicken in above 165 degrees before serving.
I added some sesame seeds and green onions to make my Japanese BBQ Grilled Chicken extra pretty đŸ™‚
We served this dish with some extra Japanese BBQ sauce and yum yum sauce for dipping.
So tasty and fun to make on a nice, spring day when the weather was gorgeous!
