Smoked Fireball Whiskey Ribs
I made some Fireball Pulled Pork on the smoker last week, so it got my wheels turning about trying a recipe for Smoked Fireball Whiskey Ribs and let me just say, they were ahhhhhhh-mazing!!
I use a 3-2-1 ribs cooking method that never fails me.
And you can find the Fireball flavor in both the rib seasoning and also in the Fireball BBQ sauce.
This Fireball seasoning can be found HERE on Amazon, it’s highly addicting!
How to make Smoked Fireball Whiskey Ribs
Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel, and season all sides with BBQ seasoning and/or Fireball seasoning.
I did a mix of BBQ seasoning as well as the Fireball seasoning.
Add kosher salt and pepper if it’s a salt free BBQ rub.
Place the ribs in a smoker or Traeger pellet grill set to 225 degrees for 3 hours to start.
This is the first part of the 3-2-1 method.
Wrap each rib rack in foil and add 2 tablespoons of the Fireball to each foil packet.
Really any liquid works but since this is my Fireball version I thought why not use Fireball!?
Place the foil wrapped ribs back into the smoker for 2 more hours.
While the ribs were smoking I made the BBQ sauce by putting some store bought BBQ sauce, a few dashes of hot sauce, and the remaining Fireball in a saucepan.
Bring this to a boil for a minute, stirring a few times, and remove from the heat.
Unwrap the ribs, place back on the smoker for 1 more hour, brushing with the Fireball BBQ sauce periodically.
Serve the ribs with any leftover sauce.
Does it really get any better than Smoked Fireball Whiskey Ribs?!
Fall off the bone tender and a great flavor, hope you enjoy as much as we did!
