Smoked BBQ Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers
Smoked BBQ Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers are my newest stuffed jalapeno creation perfect for an appetizer, game day snack, or in our case I served them at our girl’s pool party!
How to make Smoked BBQ Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers
Start with some larger size jalapeno peppers, cream cheese, shredded cheese of choice, bacon, BBQ seasoning… and of course the shrimp which is not pictured 😉
I seasoned a pound of medium size shrimp with some of the BBQ seasoning.
And put the cream cheese block, a cup of shredded cheese, and more BBQ seasoning in another bowl.
Toss the shrimp until combined and mix together the cheesy goodness.
It helps when mixing if the cream cheese it at room temperature.
Since it was a pool party, we made them together outside next to the Traeger pellet grill.
Check out the TikTok for some comedy of my daughter and her friend helping me make them 🙂
After cutting the jalapenos in half, scoop out the seeds, and fill each half with the cheese mixture.
Then place a piece of shrimp over top and wrap them each in a slice of bacon, overlapping slightly.
Sprinkle more BBQ seasoning over top and place them in a smoker or Traeger pellet grill.
They will smoke at 250 degrees for 2 hours.
You can leave them cook longer depending on how done you want the bacon.
Smoked BBQ Shrimp Jalapeno Poppers were quite the hit at our girl’s pool party!
I was nice and saved some for husband and son too, they loved them just as much as we did!
