Blackstone Citrus Herb Salmon
Blackstone Citrus Herb Salmon is a healthy and tasty recipe for the griddle!
A bright citrus vinaigrette steals the show with seasoning the salmon perfectly.
And also save some for dipping when serving the salmon.
How to make Blackstone Citrus Herb Salmon
I have 4 salmon fillets, an orange, lemon, and grapefruit, and some fresh herbs.
Since I am growing thyme, dill, and rosemary I went with those.
And for the salmon, these are skin on fillets.
I cook them with the skin on and the skin easily peels off before serving.
Zest about 2 tablespoon total of citrus zest from the lemon, orange, and grapefruit.
I find this works best with a microplane grater or zester.
Add the citrus zest to a bowl with olive oil, Dijon mustard, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Also about 2 tablespoons of chopped, fresh herbs.
And squeeze 1/4 cup total of juice from the lemon, orange, and grapefuit.
Then whisk until evenly combined.
Set a few spoonfuls of the citrus vinaigrette aside to use for dipping.
Brush some more of the citrus vinaigrette on the salmon, and season with kosher salt and pepper.
Bring more of the vinaigrette to the griddle to brush as they cook.
I also sliced some of the fruit to use as garnish, but that’s totally optional.
Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium low for a few minutes.
Then add some cooking oil of choice and the salmon.
Add the slices of citrus to char on the griddle if using them for garnish, if not skip this step.
The salmon will cook 7 to 9 minutes total, flipping a few times.
And brush with more of the vinaigrette a few times.
Blackstone Citrus Herb Salmon is quite an amazing salmon recipe, full of bright flavor and freshness!
Any veggie or a simple salad would be a great side dish for this healthy seafood dinner.
