Traeger 3 Ingredient Mac and Cheese
If you are a pellet grill owner, then this Traeger 3 Ingredient Mac and Cheese is a must try recipe!
Quite literally the absolute BEST macaroni and cheese recipe for the pellet smoker by far.
And bonus points for it being sooooooo easy to make, I mean ya can’t go wrong with a 3 ingredient recipe, right?!
I don’t count kosher salt and pepper, we will call them “freebie” ingredients… and there is an optional addition of dry mustard if you prefer.
How to make Traeger 3 Ingredient Mac and Cheese
First pour a quart of heavy cream into a 12 inch cast iron skillet, or into a 9×13 casserole dish or foil pan.
Then add kosher salt, pepper, and some dry mustard if using.
Set your Traeger or pellet grill to 350 degrees and let this go for about an hour, stirring a few times.
It will reduce and thicken, plus pick up some smoky flavor thanks to the Traeger.
Boil a pound of macaroni, or any short cut pasta, according to the package directions.
Then rinse with cold water so the pasta doesn’t overcook.
Add the cooked pasta and 16 ounces of Colby Jack cheese that has been shredded.
Feel free to mix it up with different cheeses too!
Mix it all together and leave it on the pellet grill for a few more minutes so the cheese melts.
Creamy, cheesy goodness right here… now go make you some Traeger 3 Ingredient Mac and Cheese to enjoy 😉
We had this with Smoked Fireball Pulled Pork, the BBQ sauce and pork on top of this mac and cheese was highly addicting!
YUM!!
