Blackstone Honey Lemon Chicken Wings
The griddle might be my new favorite way to cook chicken wings, and this recipe for Blackstone Honey Lemon Chicken Wings has a fabulous flavor combo!
A little bright, freshness from the acidic lemon, sweetness from the honey, and a hint of spice from the hot sauce.
You get a nice crisp char on the outer wings, but the inside is perfectly moist and juicy!
How to make Blackstone Honey Lemon Chicken Wings
First toss 3 pounds of wings with 2 tablespoons each lemon pepper seasoning and soy sauce.
Also 1/4 cup lemon juice, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
For the sauce, put 1/4 cup lemon juice into a saucepan with another tablespoon each of lemon pepper seasoning and soy sauce.
Then add 1/2 cup honey, 3 tablespoons butter, and some hot sauce or wing sauce of your choosing.
The amount of the hot sauce will depend on your spice preference.
Bring this to a boil for a few minutes, stirring several times, and let it cool.
Here is my tried and true chicken wing cooking method on the Blackstone griddle or flat top grill.
First preheat it to medium high, add some oil, and the seasoned wings.
Cook them for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
I find that using tongs works best to flip them.
Then lower the griddle heat to medium low, cover the wings with a melting dome or foil pan, and cook 12 to 15 more minutes.
Flip them halfway through and they are ready when the internal temperature is above 165 degrees.
Blackstone Honey Lemon Chicken Wings are a sweet and sticky mess… but soooo worth it 😉
Toss them right in the sauce before serving and enjoy!
