Blackstone Griddle Pizza Tortellini
This one just might be my favorite tortellini recipe on the griddle, it’s Blackstone Griddle PIZZA Tortellini!
It’s every kid’s dream dinner with the combo of pizza and pasta, and quite possibly just as dreamy for the adults.
Cheesy goodness, all your favorite pizza toppings, comforting pasta, allllll made on the flat top grill 🙂
How to make Blackstone Griddle Pizza Tortellini
Start by putting all of the ingredients on a tray to easily carry out to the griddle.
You can use any of your favorite pizza toppings, of course.
We went with sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms simply because those are our go-to pizza toppings.
Preheat the Blackstone griddle or flat top grill to medium heat for a few minutes.
Then add some cooking oil of choice along with the frozen tortellini that has been thawed, but not boiled.
Pour a little water on them and cover with a melting dome.
This will cook for 2 to 3 minutes, remove the dome to flip them halfway through, adding more water before covering again.
Put a pound of ground Italian sausage on the griddle next to the tortellini.
And use your hibachi spatulas to break apart the sausage as it cooks.
Whoops, forgot to add the mushrooms with the sausage… but it’s fine, we all make mistakes, right?!
Also season this well with kosher salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes.
After cooking the tortellini, sausage, and mushrooms for a few minutes, add some mini pepperoni and minced garlic.
Mix it all together on the griddle for a few minutes with your hibachi spatulas.
Then pour a 24 ounce jar of pasta/ marinara sauce, mixing it together.
Finally the cheesy goodness joins this tortellini party!
Blackstone Griddle Pizza Tortellini got alllll thumbs up from the entire fam!
I served this with garlic toast (that I also toasted on the griddle) and we topped with parmesan cheese.
Leftovers were almost even better the next day!
