Blackstone Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread
When we have chili, cornbread is an absolute MUST! So I made a recipe Blackstone Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread.
Yep… cornbread made on the flat top griddle is possible.
You do need Silicone Egg Rings to make them into adorable circles, I got mine from Amazon.
My granddaughter and I made Slow Cooker Chorizo Chicken Chili together and it was perfect with the cornbread 🙂
How to Make Blackstone Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread
This recipe is super easy because I am using store bought cornbread mix.
The honey cornbread was a nice flavor combo with the spicy jalapenos.
And simply adding the diced jalapeno and shredded cheese.
So all you have to do is follow the package directions to prepare the batter.
Then stir in two diced jalapeno peppers and a cup of shredded cheese.
Then preheat your Blackstone griddle or flat top grill to the lowest heat setting.
Place the egg rings on the surface and spray well with nonstick cooking spray.
Fill the egg rings 3/4 full of the batter because they will rise as they cook.
Cover with a melting dome, griddle lid, or 9×13 foil pan.
They will cook about 15 minutes, but check on them a few times.
Once the cornbread is set, remove the egg rings.
And use a spatula to remove them from the griddle.
Repeat in a few batches unless you have enough egg rings to cook them all at once.
Blackstone Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread circles are pretty darn adorable and very tasty!
Absolute perfection served with our chili dinner.
