Blackstone Smashed Marry Me Chicken Tacos
You’ve heard of the viral recipe for Marry Me Chicken no doubt… well these Blackstone Smashed Marry Me Chicken Tacos puts a little spin on them using similar ingredients.
Remaking, revamping, recipe mashups… whatever you call it… I absolutely LOVE taking a traditional recipe and mixing things up a bit.
I call it playing with my food and it’s super fun and ALWAYS tasty 🙂

How to make Blackstone Smashed Marry Me Chicken Tacos
First season a pound of ground chicken with a tablespoon of garlic and herb seasoning.
Add a little kosher salt and pepper as well, then mix it together with your hands and form into 8 balls.

Place them on a tray along with spinach, sundried tomatoes, garlic, heavy cream, and soft tortillas.
Then head out to the Blackstone flat top griddle in one easy trip.

Preheat your griddle to medium.
Then add some cooking oil of choice, the spinach, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, kosher salt, and pepper.

Cook 2 to 3 minutes, mixing with your spatulas a few times.

As you can imagine, it already smells ahhhhh-mazing!

Next pour the heavy cream over top.
Cook 1 more minute, mixing together, and remove from the griddle.
Scrape your Blackstone clean if needed.

Add more cooking oil and place balls of chicken on the griddle spaced apart.

Cover each with a soft taco size flour tortilla.

And use a burger press to smash them flat.
I like to press down and twist the press slightly.

Cook 4 minutes, flip, and cook 1 to 2 more minutes.

The chicken is cooked through perfectly and the tortilla edges get a nice crisp and golden-brown color.

Add the spinach mixture to the griddle to warm if needed.
It was like 10 degrees when I made these, so I did warm mine for a few seconds.
Finally, top each smashed taco with the spinach and sundried tomato mixture and mozzarella cheese to serve.

Alllllll the yumminess of the marry me chicken recipe but served in a handheld taco form!

Blackstone Smashed Marry Me Chicken Tacos were highly approved by the family!
