Blackstone Japanese BBQ Ramen Noodles

Blackstone Japanese BBQ Ramen Noodles

A seemingly simple noodle dish on the griddle that will hopefully wow you with both flavor and texture… this recipe for Blackstone Japanese BBQ Ramen Noodles is a must try!!

Ramen is just pure comfort food so you really can’t go wrong with fun, unique ramen noodle creations.

This stir fried version on the flat top grill gets the noodles slightly crisp, but still with that familiar soft texture.

ingredients for the ramen dish

Just a few ingredients, a few minutes on the griddle, and prepare to have your tastebuds dancing!

I’d say the star of this show is this Japanese BBQ sauce, which is waaaayyyy different than traditional BBQ.

But if you cannot find this sauce, just use hoisin sauce instead.

How to make Blackstone Japanese BBQ Ramen Noodles

First boil 3 packs of ramen according to the package directions, just leave out the flavor packet.

Then drain and rinse the noodles with cold water to prevent them from becoming mushy.

And prepare the rest of the ingredients, place them on a tray, and head out to your griddle.

I have a pound of boneless, skinless chicken thighs that I diced, but you can leave the chicken out for a vegetarian version if preferred.

prepped ingredients for the ramen dish

Preheat your griddle to medium heat for a few minutes.

Then add some cooking oil of choice, the chicken (if using), a diced onion, kosher salt, and pepper.

Along with the cooked, cooled ramen noodles and 4 tablespoons of butter.

And 1/3 cup of the Japanese BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and sriracha.

Mix it all together on the griddle and cook 4 to 5 minutes.

I like to use my hibachi spatulas to press the noodles down to get that slight crisp in some places.

Finally add some sliced green onions, cook another minute or two, and we are ready to dig in!
