Blackstone Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus
Some of my griddle recipes are a little more unique, creative, or out of the box (ok, ok, MOST of them 😉 ), but Blackstone Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus is a basic, simple dinner recipe for the griddle with little flare or pizazz.
Now, that’s not to mean it’s not extraordinary in taste, of course.
The BEST things in life are sometimes the simplest 🙂
It’s pretty healthy, low carb, and Keto friendly as well (or enjoy it with garlic toast like we did!).
How to make Blackstone Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus
First we will make the lemon garlic butter.
Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and add a tablespoon of Italian seasoning.
Also 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly minced garlic, kosher salt, and pepper.
Then set a pound of shrimp and asparagus on a tray with the butter.
My shrimp were peeled and deveined, but I left the tails on.
I also trimmed the bottom 2 inches from my pound of asparagus.
Preheat the griddle to medium for a few minutes.
Then brush some of the butter on the griddle and add the asparagus first, as it has a longer cook time compared to the shrimp.
Cook the asparagus 3 to 4 minutes and then add the shrimp with a little more of the butter.
Lightly season both the shrimp and asparagus with kosher salt and pepper
Cook this for another 3 to 4 minutes, turning and flipping with your hibachi spatulas as needed.
Finally, add the rest of the lemon garlic butter, mix it all together, and cook just another minute or two.
Blackstone Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus was SOOOOO good and simple!
We squeezed some extra lemon wedges over top too.

Blackstone Lemon Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus
Equipment
- Blackstone Griddle
- Flat Top Grill/ Griddle
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 4 to 5 cloves garlic finely minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- kosher salt, pepper
- 1 pound asparagus bottom inch or two trimmed
- 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
- lemon wedges to squeeze over top
Instructions
- Mix together the butter, garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Preheat the griddle to medium heat for a few minutes. Brush some of the butter on the griddle and add the asparagus. Cook the asparagus 3 to 4 minutes, turning a few times.
- Add the shrimp with a little more butter, lightly season the shrimp and asparagus with kosher salt and pepper.
- Cook another 3 to 4 minutes, turning a few times. Add the rest of the garlic butter, mix everything together, and cook another 1 to 2 minutes.
- Serve with lemon wedges to squeeze over top.
