Blackstone Reverse Seared Tomahawk

Blackstone Reverse Seared Tomahawk

My husband has been dying to try a tomahawk steak, so we finally splurged and made a Blackstone Reverse Seared Tomahawk on the pellet grill smoker and griddle!

This was a 3-pound tomahawk, so reverse searing ensures it’s properly cooked on the inside without overcooking the outside.

How to make Blackstone Reverse Seared Tomahawk

First simply season your steak on all sides with kosher salt, pepper, and steak seasoning blend of choice.

Then place into your smoker or pellet grill at 225 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.

Remove the tomahawk when the internal temperature reaches 110 degrees and let it sit while you preheat your Blackstone or flat top griddle to medium high/ high.

Then add cooking oil of choice and the tomahawk.

Sear it for 2 to 3 minutes per side, I also used my tongs to sear the edges.

This should get that perfect medium rare/ medium doneness!

Very important to let this beauty rest for at least 10 minutes before cutting into it.

That gave me just enough time to load up our baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon!

We also served Blackstone Reverse Seared Tomahawk with Blackstone Caprese Stuffed Zucchini!

This was for a sure a meal fit for kings and queens 🙂
