Blackstone Honey Lime Chicken Bowls
Blackstone Honey Lime Chicken Bowls may seem like a boring rice bowl recipe, but this dinner packs quite the flavor punch!
We are keeping this griddle recipe super simple by using the Ready Rice in a microwave pouch… even though we won’t actually be microwaving it.
Drizzling yum yum sauce over top is a must when serving 🙂
How to make Blackstone Honey Lime Chicken Bowls
First cut 1 1/2 pounds of boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts) into bite size pieces.
Then whisk together some soy sauce, honey, lime juice, and sriracha.
And toss that together with the chicken and minced garlic to marinate in the fridge.
Then prepare the remaining ingredients and put it all on a tray to easily carry out to the Blackstone griddle or flat top grill.
We have a diced onion, some shredded carrots, fresh cilantro, the marinated chicken, and the bag of rice (which does not even need to be microwaved first).
Preheat your Blackstone to medium heat and add some cooking oil of choice along with the onions, carrots, and chicken with allllll the yummy marinade.
Cook the chicken and veggies for 5 to 6 minutes, mixing with spatulas a few times.
Add some cooking oil to an empty side of the griddle and the bag of rice with some water.
Cover with melting dome and cook 3 to 4 more minutes, remove dome a few times to mix rice with spatulas adding more water if needed.
Continue mixing the chicken and veggies as the rice cooks.
Finally some freshly chopped cilantro joins the party!
Some on the rice and some on the chicken and veggies.
Mix in the cilantro and then put the chicken and rice on a tray to carry back inside to assemble the bowls.
We added yum yum sauce, cilantro, and a lime wedge to our Blackstone Honey Lime Chicken Bowls 🙂
A little more sriracha too because, well… we are spice freaks in my house.
We even had a little leftover and these were amazing the next day for lunch.
There wasn’t a whole lot left so I added a diced avocado and that was an awesome addition!
